Bug 466717 introduced a new popup that doesn't use a <panel/>. This means we need to re-implement the text highlighting behavior.

If this is not going to be implemented in Fennec, can we please have some sort of reasoning in order for this decision to be verified?

Performance of the awesomebar on devices is weak now. Trying to "bold" the matching text in the results would make performance significantly worse.
If someone comes up with a fast way to do it, we'd consider it.
