Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081204 Thunderbird/3.0b1
Similar but not identical to Bug 243504 - existing messages which have attachments with # in the filename (for example a PDF invoice named "Quote #xxxx") cannot be opened or saved.
Bug 243504 reports similar behavior, but refers to composition of new messages, not opening attachments in existing messages.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. receive message containing attachment with filename containing # character(s)
2. attempt to open or save the attachment
3 [review]. ...
Actual Results:
attempts to open the attachment (by double click or by right click->open) do nothing whatsoever. attempts to save the attachment produce the correct filesystem browse dialog, but the file does not actually get saved to the location specified. no error messages are displayed in either case.
Expected Results:
opened or saved the file.
