User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 Build Identifier: 3.0.4 I no longer have the ability to mark my numerous spam messages as SPAM. I tried to customize the menu bar however it would not move McAfee Spam to the menu bar. It was there and then disappeared after a recent software upgrade. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Do you mean with "McAfee Spam" a button from an Mcaffee Addon that is gone ?
I used to have a Spam selection on my menu bar. I thought that this was a feature of Thunderbird. For awhile, everytime I tried to use this feature Thunderbird aborted with an error message. I reported this problem and at some point the SPAM feature worked properly. Recently it disappeared off the menu selection bar. When that happened, I tried to customize the menu bar, the only spam there is the McAfee Addon. However, it won't move to the menu bar. I don't care who provides it. I just want to be able to mark my endless Spam messages as spam.
But we care from where it comes from because this is no support database and you can't expect to get help here. The wording in Thunderbird 2.X should be junk instead of spam and I see it for example under message/mark/as Junk but it's possible that you had an additional McAfee Addon for Spam marking that stopped working because it needs to be updated. But it could be that you mean the buildin Junk/Spam Feature. I think your report here is a support issue and as such an invalid report. Please use http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ (for example the support Forums). As SM user i don't know if there is a button in TB but I leave this open if someone else knows more about this TB Area but it should be closed invalid later. Tyler: Are you a TB user and do you know if there is a SPAM button somewhere for the menu bar ? I know only the infobar for junk above the mailheaders.
(In reply to comment #3) Yes I use TB trunk, and so far as I know "Spam" is not used at all. The is the Junk marking stuff, but that is more general wording than spam (all spam is junk, but not all just is spam), so i doubt it is even there. This sounds like an adon issue.
