User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081204 Thunderbird/3.0b1

When typing a list name into the To: input space does not allow the user to check the mail addresses on that list to see if the email content is suitable for all mail addresses in the list.
This can be checked in the address book but that is not available in the window for sending an email. It is therefore very tedious to use and check a kist.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.type a list name into the To: input
2.click on that name to get list details
3.
Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
a drop down showing the mail addresses in the list.

Most other mail programs allow this, particularly Outlook
pretty sure this is a duplicate, and not specific to trunk. see if an advanced search https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi to finds it.

bug 126630 has similar wording but is a different bug. My bug 469127 refers to the fact that clicking on the list name does not expand it to show addresses of on the list.
Bug 126630 refers to the fact that the email is not sent correctly to list members.

It is not a duplicate of bug 119977.
If I have understood the suggestion in that bug correctly then it can pproduce nonsense. Some lists can be very large 10 -100 addresses.
To have each of theses in an address line would potentially cause chaos in the display.
In my opinion it is better to just have a dropdown which displays the names. Te user can then check whether he has selected the correct list.
