I read in the other bug that prereleases don't get release notes.

But for the beta, there are some release notes (at http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/3.0b1/releasenotes/).

So why don't we link to those??
Tyler: please be careful about marking website issues duplicate of Firefox issues. In this case its wrong on two counts: a) we have an open bug about fixing something up for nightly builds, b) this is an error about 3.0b1 not a pre version and its affecting locales.

gozer: We need redirects for the release notes for locales asap please, for all variations of %LOCALE% we support, we need to redirect to the en-US version:

http://www.mozillamessaging.com/%LOCALE%/thunderbird/3.0b1/releasenotes/

Currently:

http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-GB/thunderbird/3.0b1/releasenotes/

doesn't work.

Wayne & gozer: although probably not a litmus test, we need something somewhere to ensure we get these redirects created & checked per release (assuming locales haven't provided their own pages).
gozer, please see comment 3

is "QA download links" the appropriate place for QA to check "help|release notes"?
