In the preferences section for lightning (installed as an add-on to thunderbird), i set the "Default time an alarm goes off before an event/task" (2-separate perferences) to 10 mins but it doesn't fire a notification if "Reminder" for the event itself is set to "No reminder" (Set by the person sending the invite, not set when i receive the invite)
Ideally, default alarm time should override the reminder option set per event, especially if the event's reminder is set to "No reminder" (and when the person accepting the invite did NOT set it to no reminder).
Since anything can be better than what we have now, it could atleast prompt the user to set a reminder, especially when the invite itself has "No reminder" set.
Setting a above normal severity b/c its causing me to miss some events in the calendar and there is no way to globally set a reminder for all events. Its a pain to go to every event and set a reminder time.
