In this latest version of Camino (1.65) I can only send gmail to a single recipient or single group. The same is true if a send a copy or blind copy. If I use the earlier version, I can send to more than one recipient in each case. I use Mac OS 10.5.5.

1.list a recipient of gmail message.
2.attempt to add another - can't do it.

Expected Results:  
See above.

Allow me to add more recipients.

What happens if you try using a fresh profile?  You can use
http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/troubleshoot-camino to automate this testing.

Also, do you have any add-ons for Camino installed (e.g., 1Password)?  Or any system-level input methods/"text time-savers", like TypeIt4Me, SpellCatcher, TextExpander, etc.?
