The new gestures for Mac OS X all work perfectly, except for browser.gesture.swipe.left, which is by default mapped to "Browser:BackOrBackDuplicate". If I use this gesture, then a system beep sounds and nothing further happens.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
System Beep
Expected Results:
Go back one page in History

For what it's worth, I can't work on this -- I don't have a Mac that supports the new gestures.

I'm assuming you have a page to go backwards to when you try doing the swipe left? What if you do this with a new profile or turn off your add-ons/extensions?
What if you change swipe.left to be "Browser:PrevTab" instead of "Browser:Back..."? Does it still beep or does it switch to the previous tab?

WFM. In fact, sometimes even when I don't intend for it to!

The assumption is correct. Forward (three finger swipe right) works as expected, therefore it is evident that there is always a page to go back to. Will try the other suggestions and report back.

Ok, I tried it with Browser:PrevTab, but there was still the system beep. Also when I disabled add-ons (had only Adblock Plus), the problem was the same. I wasn't sure how to create a new profile, so I couldn't try that.

Is there anything I can do to help solve this issue? Perhaps there's a debugging mode or log file somewhere, that shows what goes wrong?

Ok, I found out how to create a new profile... but the problem still persists. It's a fresh install of OS etc. as well, since I just bought that machine.

I am re-opening this, as there is now an additional report:
http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=1&comments_parentId=72690
That guy reports his three finger gestures left and right aren't working, whereas in my case only the the swipe left isn't working, all other gestures are (up/down/right, 2 fingers, 4 fingers).
I realize that this is not reproducible for many folks, but the problem does exist for some. Isn't there some log file or debug mode that could get us a lead on this one?

Hm, I just downloaded 3.2apre1 (Minefield) and the gesture works there. I guess someone fixed it in the meantime without being aware of this issue.

It still works in 3.6a1pre, but not in 3.5 - go figure.
