User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; InfoPath.2; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30618) Build Identifier: When I attempt to open in either full or safemode via the shortcuts on Vista 64bit the firefox *32.exe hangs at around 3.4 to 4.2MB. It goes no further. I have not found a fix or reference to any other issues by people. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on Firefox Shortcut in Vista 64bit Home Premium 2. Open Task Manager and look for Firefox *32.exe 3. Verify that Firefox has not loaded. Actual Results: Firefox will hang at around 3.4-4.2MB of load. Expected Results: Firefox hangs around 3.4MB with no browser window. The browser should have loaded.
Can you please create a new profile?
Attempted to create new profile via profile manager, the manager fails to start. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles Also, tried deleting the profile in %APPDATA%\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox These both did not work.
Attaching a process monitor log filtering on process name of firefox.exe
Full Uninstall, Deleting all remnants, and reinstall of 3.0.5 does not work.
Uninstalled 3.0.5 Installed 3.1 beta 2 and firefox starts perfectly. There is something I would assume in the initialization code in the 3.0.5 version that doesn't work fully with the Vista 64bit Home Premium edition. Please advise on next diagnostic steps.
