Exhibits diamond-like � character. Firefox (2 through 3 latest) automatically sets
encoding to Unicode (UTF-8). The problem corrects when encoding changed
manually to Western (ISO-8859-1.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto http://www.dictionaraoke.org/
2. Whatch for strings
m-sli�k da ninja
Moxy Fr�vous "splatter
3. Open View > Character Encoding > see • Unicode (UTF-8)
4. Change Encoding to
5. See the strings change to:
m-sli©k da ninja
Moxy Fr…vous "splatter
Actual Results:
Text becomes readable
Expected Results:
Firefox has to do the work automatically.
