Open Spellcheck dialog, click "Add Word" button to add a word to your dictionary. Notice that there is no button to dismiss the "Personal Dictionary" window. Ouch! I just lost all my changes since I can't save them before I kill off the app.
using Mac build; probably build from 7/24
branch or trunk build? Jan Leger needs to know..thanks.
Well, there's certainly a "Close" button in the XUL file. Does it look like the dialog is cutoff because of a display/layout problem?
In the 8/1 build, the "Close" button appears correctly in this dialog.

On which platforms?
Well, I don't see a dictionary window when I click Add Word, but I did add words and was able to get out of SpellChecker window shown just fine. No crash, or loss of data with 2000-08-01-04-M17 branch build on Win95. I will have sujay check all other platforms on branch ASAP.
What "Personal Dictionary" window? I see a "Check Spelling" Window and there is a Close button on that panel....this is on Mac.... I'm checking Linux branch right now....will add comments shortly...
OK I found that Personal Dictionary dialog....in the original bug report it didn't mention that you have to click on "Edit" in the Check Spelling window in order to bring up the Personal Dict window. And Close does work on this Personal Dictionary window on both Mac and Linux branch 8/2 build .... marking verified..

I don't see a problem with an optimized Mac Netscape M18 build from yesterday.
