When switching from tab to tab, twice the beta2 has closed my tab when I left it. This has happened both times while on facebook. So there may be a correlation. 

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to facebook page with a video on it and have it completely loaded
2. load another facebook page in a new tab
3. switch between the two tabs
Actual Results:  
the tab with the video will stay intact, while the other will close itself

Expected Results:  
It should simply switch between the two tabs.

Just a note: While this may seem to be the case. I'm not accidentally pressing the close button on the tab

This works fine for me. Please retest in safe-mode: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode or try a new profile: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile

If it still fails with a new profile, please provide additional steps to reproduce.

Are you perhaps dragging the tab, which would then tear it to a new window and appear to have disappeared?

This bug was reported using Firefox 3.0 or older, which is no longer supported. The bug has also not been changed in over 500 days and is still in UNCO.
Reporter, please retest this bug in Firefox 3.6.10 or later using a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles. If you still see this problem, please update the bug. If you no longer see the bug, please set the resolution to RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
