Hi, From bug 305998), dom/chrome/appstrings.properties should be application agnostic, and that file can be overriden by applications. For example, in en-US locale, fileNotFound string is "The file %S cannot be found. Please check the location and try again." in dom/chrome/appstrings.properties, and "Firefox can't find the file at %S." in browser/chrome/overrides/appstrings.properties. But in ukrainian locale, fileNotFound string still references Firefox in dom/chrome/appstrings.properties .
