User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081222 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Shiretoko/3.1b3pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081222 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Shiretoko/3.1b3pre

When I press the "Edit page" button to edit a page created in a site built in Google Sites, Shiretoko crashes and closes unexpectedly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sign in with a Google account and open a site in Google Sites
2. Select a page and press "Edit page" button
3. Shiretoko closes

Shiretoko installation was made from this repository:
https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive

Of course not because you don't use an official Mozilla.org build and the crash reporter server needs the symbols from the build process.

Either use https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report#Linux or install an official Mozilla.org build.

Attached you have the text result I got from gdb.

useless

err. you have to actually read and *follow* the directions.

which are indeed provided for your platform.

I did it, but:

assar@assar-laptop:~$ apport-unpack /var/crash/_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash $TMPDIR
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/crash/_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash'

Sorry if I cannot help.
Just test with this and get a crash report ID. Much simpler.

Looks like bug 469012's fix was committed to the tracemonkey branch.
You could see if it's already fixed in that branch.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-tracemonkey/firefox-3.2a1pre.en-US.linux-i686.tar.bz2
Yes, the bug is fixed in that last build.

This bug is definitely not fixed, so it's probably not a dupe of Bug 469012. I just ran into it on Wikipedia using the latest TraceMonkey Nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20081231 Firefox/3.2a1pre ID:20081231021216

If I can figure out how to reproduce it, I will reopen my filing, Bug 471656, with the details.

Duping this bug to bug 469012 may not be accurate. See my comments here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471656#c3
