I've just been looking at various logs from the leak and bloat tests. Both of Thunderbird's current leak & bloat machines don't seem to be running the second part (trace-malloc) correctly. The first part (which is done via XPCOM_MEM_LEAK_LOG) seems to be working correctly. For the second part, the obvious errors are: Warning: unrecognized command line flag --trace-malloc Warning: unrecognized command line flag --shutdown-leaks Alongside this, I noticed that there are not as many webshell/domwindow creations as in the first part of the test. So I guess we're not doing the full test there. My guess is the numbers are currently too low. I'll do a windows build and investigate this. http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showlog.cgi?log=Thunderbird3.0/1230408368.1230409454.6290.gz http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showlog.cgi?log=Thunderbird/1230413634.1230414690.20271.gz&fulltext=1

I've looked into the code and it appears the trace-malloc code can strip these out of the processing route on mac & unix, but not windows. > I'll do a windows build and investigate this. I did this and both runs worked fine. gozer is going to watch a build on one of the boxes.
