User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.21022) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.21022) I have seen this problem on several PCs. After opening say more than 6-7 tabs and working for sometimes (once in a while), rightclick->open in new tab does not work anymore. If I focus to another tab and close 1 or 2 tabs I can now successfully open the same link in a new tab. It seems something becomes unstable sometimes. This happens from time to time and I am not sure how to reproduce it. Mac Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open 7-6 tabs 2. Try to open links in a new tab 3. Even if you retry the same right click and open in new tab command several times, nothing happens 4. Change focus to another tab and perhaps close one of them 5. Now open in new tab works for the exact same link
Please try if you can reproduce this in safe-mode, to exclude problematic add-ons: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

I am experiencing something very similar: Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a web page with many links. (Google Search results) 2. Rapidly right mouse click "Open Link in New Tab" on the links. 3. After, between 2 and 10 links the bug occurs. Bug Restults: When the bug happens, a right mouse click on the link opens the "Save As" dialog, or the "Page Bookmarked" dialog, NO context menu is shown. Expected results: Display Right mouse click context menu. The bug occurs when running in firefox -safe-mode as well. Ubuntu 8.10 Firefox 3.0.6
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 3.5 version, or better, trunk nightly build?
