1.) Install 2000-08-01-04-M17/netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-installer.tar.gz.
2.) Visit any secure site such as https://www.verisign.com or 
https://www.thawte.com.
What happens: Crash.

This is may be related to bug 47176 which is about a possibly old version of psm 
in the staging area.  Don't know the details and has nothing to do with the 
installer bug I fixed today (per ddrinan).

Wait!  This bug was logged against the 4am build.  How about today's 2pm build 
(with the installer fix Jan mentioned)?

Never mind.  The 2pm branch build doesn't have my fix.  Wait for the next linux 
commecial installer branch build to re-check this bug.
