User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20
Build Identifier:

e.g. acrobat reader has this option such that one only has to manage one and not multiple trust stores.

In particular this would help to validate some smime signature because the windows trust store contains the intermediary signing cert
<<CN = SwissSign Gold CA - G2
O = SwissSign AG
C = CH>> that unfortunately is not available in Mozilla

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open the file attached next
Actual Results:
signature invalid due to missing intermediary cert

Expected Results:
signature valid since intermediary cert in found in my OSes cert stores
to reproduce, just open this file
The security code is part of the core mozilla code base, and therefore this is a duplicate of bug 432802 - if they fix that bug, then this will be fixed as a result.

Genius. Mark both bugs as resolved-duplicate.
That's a great way to make sure neither of them gets resolved.
The bug that actually has the resolution:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1265113

Perhaps should change this to point to the resolved issue?
