Which version of Firefox and NVDA are you trying to use? NVDA works best with Firefox 3.0.5 and NVDA version 0.6p2 or a daily snapshot build. NVDA 0.5 is not recommended any more.
I am using NVDA version 0.6p2 and firefox version 3.0.5 on windows vista platform. I also tried same combination on windos xp pro and there no such issue there. So i think this issue is only for windows vista
Strange, I didn't have any such problems on Vista so far. CC'ing the two NVDA developers to see if they have heard of this issue on Vista before and have some input. It's definitely not a problem per se, seems to be something specific to your setup.
i am in a process to check this issue on other machine also. however its take some time as in india windows vista not too populer yet. meanwhile i will report this issue to NVDA also. if you need any information regarding my system information or setup related information, then let me know.
Please try a recent daily snapshot of NVDA, as we fixed some issues in the virtual buffer code which fixed this crash for other Vista users who were experiencing it. You can find the snapshots here: http://www.nvda-project.org/snapshots/
Anubhav, thanks for your report. Did you have success with a newer NVDA. Also if there is an NVDA ticket for this bug, please put the link here in a comment. Otherwise, I recommend closing as WORKSFORME.
