User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 Clicking SeaMonkey's "Change/Remove" button in XP SP3's "Add or Remove Programs" window while SeaMonkey is running brings up a dialogue box saying "SeaMonkey is detected to be currently running. Please quit SeaMonkey before continuing. Click OK to exit SeaMonkey automatically and proceed with installation." There is no Cancel button and the window close icon does the same as OK, as does killing the task from the task manager, so there is no way to avoid killing any running SeaMonkeys. The original button is labelled "Change/Remove", so a user clicking on it doesn't necessarily want to remove SeaMonkey. Only after SeaMonkey has exited does the uninstaller ask if you actually want to remove SeaMonkey. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on "Change/Remove" SeaMonkey in "Add or Remove Programs" 2. 3. Actual Results: You are told to quit SeaMonkey, with no option to leave it running, losing all open web pages and emails. Expected Results: You are asked if you want to remove SeaMonkey. If you say yes you would then be asked to quit any running SeaMonkeys, with the option to cancel the uninstall process if you want to keep SeaMonkey running.
Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v2.0a2 ?

SeaMonkey 2.0.3 has replaced "Change/Remove" with "Remove". Clicking on it asks you to "make sure SeaMonkey is not running", but doesn't kill it for you. Manually running the downloaded installer "SeaMonkey Setup 2.0.3.exe" also asks you to "Please close SeaMonkey to continue" and won't continue until you have closed it yourself, so this bug appears to have been fixed.
