I am probably wrong but I cannot find a XULRUNNER API which controls the system volume

when designing user interfaces it seems inevitable that some kind of volume
control is required -  not least a mute control


PS I believe Sylvian Pasche is doing some work on this according to a post on mozilla.dev.platform
