User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) In Windows 7, whenever I try to save a file, it does not work. I get no "Save file" dialouge box. This happens both on the right click box and whenever a file tried to download itself (i.e ATI's driver site, download.com) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Firefox 2.Try to download file 3.Become disappointed Actual Results: No downloaded file Expected Results: The file should be saved to a folder
Firefox 3 will be outdated and possibly even not supported anymore when Windows 7 comes out (early 2010?). Even coming Firefox 3.1 will probably never meet Windows 7. Maybe current trunk? In any case Minefield is the latest Firefox test version available. See http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/

Anyways, this is a pretty big bug that I bet could be fixed easily. It would help at least 2.5 million Windows 7 beta testers to have a stable version of Firefox to test. And I can't see how the community could lose anything by learning how Windows 7 is any different than Vista right now instead of playing catchup later.
OS: Other → Windows 7
how about trying the latest nightly before you start discussing about a currently unsupported OS which is at a beta stage ? Firefox3(.0x) will be outdated at the time of windows7 ! >Firefox 3.1 will defnitly meet Windows 7 Yes, and where did anyone told the opposite except that even FF3.1 could be outdated ? Is this a new install or did you an upgrade of the os ? Are you using an old Firefox profile or a new profile ? Did you already changed the file save setting in the options ? Did you already tried the Firefox safemode ?
