User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5
I am having four problems with the new version, 3.0.5.
The first problem is apparently widespread, as I have found numerous pages detailing the problem when I ran a Google search. Flash videos do not play sound, and stop playing every few seconds.
The second problem is I cannot open a new Firefox window. I can open a new tab in a window, but no new windows.
The third problem is that my touchpad is seriously disabled in Firefox only. I cannot tab or scroll, which I can do in IE and Safari.
The fourth problem is the most troubling. I can view the page I have open, but I cannot navigate to a new page, follow a link, or do anything but view the current page. I can open a new tab, and type a new address, but then I cannot press enter. If I use another way to open a new link or page (such as using the Mozilla Help), I get a blank tab with nothing in the address bar, and the page goes no where. I cannot use the home button to navigate to a new page. I cannot use my favorites, as I get the same response. All buttons, links, etc appear to work visually - they highlight, etc, but then there is no response from the program.
Please advise. I hate IE and I don't much like Safari, but I am stuck using them until this problem is rectified.
Thank you for your time.

This is not a tech support forum. Use the articles, forums, and chat here instead: http://support.mozilla.com
As to filing bugs:
http://quality.mozilla.org/bug-writing-guidelines
Only one bug should be reported at a time.
To give a quick first stab at your listed issues:
1. Flash bug, not Mozilla's. Quick search gave me:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Live+Chat+issue+guide#Flash_video_stops_after_2_seconds_sound_not_working
Solution: fixed in current versions of Flash; update to Flash 10
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
2. Should be file->new window. If that doesn't work, you may have some extension making it not. (I think Tab Mix Plus has a "one window mode" if I remember correctly)
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
3. Be more specific and explain in more detail, but at the support site.
4. Again, sounds like an add-on doing something screwy. See #2. You can check to see if it's caused by an extension or theme by trying Firefox safe mode:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
More stuff to read:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting
Lastly, old versions don't vanish:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
Though, I suspect it's probably not caused by the new version and downgrading isn't a good idea in-general. Please go to the support site for further help. If after going through troubleshooting you find a reproducible bug in Firefox then read the filing guidelines and file a concise report here.
This is a general support request rather than a specific bug report. Closing.
