Details

Going forward, would like to get collections stats by day instead of just aggregate (as is currently the case).  This will allow us to do trending over time and accurately compare collections that go-live at during different periods.

We're currently tracking total collection downloads and totals for individual add-ons.  Which do you want broken down by day?
Can we get both?
Yep.  I reworked our current schema and added 2 new tables.  We'll be tracking this the same way we track update pings and download counts (daily).  Several new bugs filed to track all the new changes.  You're CC'd on them.
there are extensive stats available at, for example, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/statistics/collection/webdeveloper .  They don't appear to be accurate to me (?) but maybe there are stats issues right now?  Regardless, that isn't this bug.
