User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Mozilla, since newest update 3.0?, shuts off after EVERY download (photo, music, file, etc...)and I get a "DEP" bubble pops-up. Mozilla also shuts off during normal usage intermittently but either way, a click of the 'restore session' button brings everything back. I do not speak 'computer' very well and read every link until I got a headache and they're all similar but slightly different. I shut down all open pages and went in and updated all windows software, security software, etc.... then tried again, same result. I tried "MOZILLA-SAFE MODE" with same result again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download anything 2. 3. Actual Results: Mozilla shuts off but comes back to the exact page with "restore session" P.S. I LIKE THIS BUTTON Expected Results: Download as normal without shutting off Sorry, I don't speak computer very well, I don't know how else to describe it Sorry, I'm an idiot, I tried a STACK TRACE and couldn't figure it out. Please help.
Can you post a crash ID or does the Crash reporter doesn't appear after a crash which is possible if Firefox gets closed by DEP ? http://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report Do you use Norton on your system ? Please open about:config (enter as URL in Firefox), confirm the warning, enter "scanwhen" in the top seach box without the "" and change (toggle) browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone to false. Does that stop crashing if you download ? Please list the installed plugins from about:plugins
