The safe mode dialog should include an option to disable javascript and java.

The dialog options are not used if you continue in safe mode. The dialog options are only used if you press make changes and restart. Additionally the preference pane still works in safe mode.

Yeah, see bug 347680 and others that will hopefully enhance safe mode stuff, and make this more possible. It's an added nice thing to have, and especially useful in this case where a user is forced to browse in safe mode due to crashes/addon incompatibility and what not. Besides the fact that many users I know don't even know about the javascript preference at all, in this case it would help to expose this preference to them.

I don't see why this pref differs from any other preference that can theoretically cause problems, or why people would specifically want to do this as a testing thing. It's really not consistent with the rest of the dialog either.
