Search bar (on top-right corner) is not working. 
Clicking on search button (with the magnifying glass icon) or pressing enter does not produce any result.
Problem exists with choice of any search engine in the toolbar.

Problem occurs occasionally.

I have a separate copy of Firefox 3.1b3. I have separate profiles for 
- Firefox 3.0.5 which i use for normal use.
- Firefox 3.1b3 which i use for testing Firefox 3.1b3.

The Problem has occurred after i have started using Firefox 3.1b.

Sometimes Menu (Right-Click menu and other menus like File, Edit) stops showing.
Instead i get empty, transparent menu.
Experiencing same problem on Ubuntu 8.10 with Firefox 3.1b2.

Do you get any error in the Error Console? This could be a dupe of bug 338763.
Sure looks lika a dupe. Tried deleting profile directory and restarting Firefox and search bar works again.
Magnus, so in your case: Do you still have the old profile data available or is everything deleted? If you have it please run again with that profile and check for warning or errors in the error console (for steps see bug 33876).
I seem to have managed to screw up my copy of the old profile.
can you please delete file by file to see which one causes this problem?
I was unable to use the old profile but the problem has reappeared with a more or less blank profile. One error in console:

Ok, this error is also reported in bug 338763. Let's dupe it and go on with this issue over in bug 338763. Thanks Magnus.

when i search something in the search bar it dosent work
that occurs in firefox 3.1b2
i hope it will fix in firefox 3.1b3
