User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.19 (20081209) When one email is selected (blue background) in Inbox of Thunderbird and I right-click on another email (this gets a blue background but actually I think it's not activated) and choose "Convert eMail to... Event/Task" from the local menu I get the right clicked email's subject with the active email's content (text body) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. left-click on messages in your inbox to select it (and remember it's content) 2. right-click on other messages in your inbox (and remember it's subject) 3. choose Convert eMail to... Event (or Task) 4. check the subject and content of the Event (or Task) Actual Results: You get the right clicked email's subject with the active email's content (text body) Expected Results: I propose the email you right-click should be activated, the formerly selected email should be de-activated

Most probably related or even identical to Bug 410050. Does Thunderbird updates the content in the message pane when right clicking the other email or does it still show the content from the previous email?

After right clicking the second email the message pane still shows the content of the first one.

From Bug 410050: > When creating a new task or event by dropping an E-Mail on the > Mode Toolbar, taking the text as a description only works if you > use the Message Pane in Thunderbird. I don't use it, so the > proposed description always is Thunderbird's start page; in > general it is the last site/message that was loaded in the > Message Pane during a session. Seems identical to this report. It doesn't matter if you start the conversion via drag'n'drop or context menu, the description is somehow taken from the Message Pane instead of the e-mail that is actually used.
