47597 - PSM download progress bar no longer advances

Pretty sure that this is a dupe, but couldn't find anything.  So to err on safety...

Using build 2000080322.  Noticed a few builds ago that when I download the
Netscape PSM, the progress meter/bar/whatever doesn't advance as the download
comes in.

(maybe if I knew the proper term to use, I'd find the dupe...help me out here...)

Confirmed that it is still BROKEN as of build 2000080804.  Was also not working
as of a nightly from yesterday. Also checked that it happens in both the Modern
and Classic themes.

Steps to recreate:

Do clean install of a build. Browse to
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/psm/psm-mozilla/index.html

Click on "Install Netscape PSM for Windows".  Click Install button on dialog
that pops up. Although PSM will proceed to download and install, the progress
meter bar (to left of Cancel button) will not advance.

This used to work, but hasn't lately.  Can someone please confirm and reopen?

there isn't progress meter for downloading but have for instaling
win32 #2000080804 PC

For the downloading I see the 'barber poll' progress meter. But no other
progress meter is visible.

This has still been DOESNTWORKFORME until just now.  Appears fixed in build
2000081808.  So someone believed me and I wasn't imagining things :)

Gerv - when downloading PSM (and any XPI, I think), the progress bar on the dl
box for the xpi does not move, that's that problem.  Cosmetic, really, but
annoying.  Changing to xpi.

Problem had gone away for me for several builds, but as of 2000090608 has
resurfaced (NT4).  I just included an attachment.

I get the candycane effect after the download completes, as the files install.
But not the progress bar for the download itself.

Works for me too again now with 2000091312.  I tried to mention this earlier but 
could not post to Bugzilla (let's see if this works...)

Anyone finding any patterns yet?  Is there someone working on this, or does it 
fix itself then break again all on its own?

Yes, I notice in 2000101108 it is working again.

I'm still wondering: Is anyone finding any patterns yet?  Is there someone
working on this, or does it fix itself then break again all on its own?
