User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_6; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Safari/525.20.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2) Gecko/20081201 Firefox/3.1b2
After putting the computer to sleep and waking up, Firefox takes abnormally long to resume an internet connection. All other Internet applications are able to access the Internet fine during this time. All that is shown during this time is a blank page with a "Loading www.google.com" in the status bar. The application does not lock or "pinwheel" but simply does not connect.
System Info
Firefox 3.1b2
OS X 10.5.6
2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put the computer to sleep with Firefox running
2. Wake it up
3. Open up a new Firefox window or tab and try to browse
Actual Results:
Firefox delays abnormally long when loading a page (such as www.google.com) after waking from sleep. The page displays a white page with a "Loading www.google.com" in the status bar. The internet connection is active, as I am able to ping www.google.com and Safari is able to immediately start browsing. If I close Firefox and reopen it, the connection to google establishes immediately. If I wait about a minute, Firefox finally decides to load the page slowly.
Expected Results:
After the OS re-establishes the network connection, Firefox should proceed to load the page within 0-10. Currently Firefox waits around 45-60 seconds.
The only Extension installed is:
Web Developer
Came with the following Plugins:
Default Plugin 2.0
iPhotoPhotocast 7.0
Java Embedding Plugin 0.9..65 MRJ Plugin version 1.0-JEP-0.0.6.5
QuickTime Plug-in 7.5.7
Shockwave Flash 9.0.151

Possibly related to (or a dup of) bug 470274.
This happens to me, too.
I have not been patient enough to get it to finally reconnect.
No add-ons or extensions (that I know of at least).
System:
MBP, OS X 10.5.6, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory
Firefox 3.1b2
