Firefox should not be able to crash the OS. Read http://quality.mozilla.org/bug-writing-guidelines for some stuff you can give us, like safe mode, new profile, crash reports
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch

Very interesting, but KDE on my Archlinux dies. You have to reboot the system, which would begin its work.
The rules are simple:
If Firefox crashes then it's the fault of the Firefox or the fault of a plugin
If X crfashes then it's X fault
If the OS crashes then it'S the OS fault.

And you can't kill the Xserver by ctrl+alt+bvackspace ?

Everything is simple. Crash FireFox raise errors with dragging text, and this in turn causes X crashes. We have to move to another console to stop the Xserver.
