Not a security issue.
Group: core-security
Firefox must ask if external protocols are called for security reasons but you usually can remember the decision.
I don't know why the itpc:// call fails, external protocol calls are working for me.

The radiofrance podcasts work for me, too. You do get asked about the itpc: handler (with an option to remember) but after that they load fine. Tried both windows and Mac.
I don't know if an addon is causing this or something else, the reporter in bug 471538 got also issues with external protocols.
Hello and thanks for your reply.
However the problem is that it works with the IE browser, but not with mozilla FF.

- With IE when I click on "install the podcast" in "radio france" then the podcast is loaded in itunes
- With FF I got first the panel asking for an application and now that the path is invalid
I Cannot understand how it can works with you and not with me. This definitely is bug in FF
Similar issue is commented with no result (so far) in bug 471538
I reloaded FF to make sure and when I click on "install the podcast" I got the message :

Fichier introuvable
After adding itunes as an application of Mozilla Firefox there is some progress. When clicking on "install the podcast" itunes is being called.
However the job is not completed.
I have to introduce manually the RSS address in itunes>advanced>open audio flux. Why Mozilla Firefox does not do it automatically ? The radio station sent the podcast address as itpc protocol
Good day
