at the "bookmark toolbar" an application named "most visited" contains a link to the same site more than once 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Firefox 
2.press most visited at the bookmark toolbar
3.a list of most recent links opens
Actual Results:  
a link to the same site appears more than once

Expected Results:  
every most visited site will be mentioned only once

because it is most visited option and not history i would not expect to see the same site on that list...

it happens only after visiting the site more than once at the same use

This is most likely a duplicate of bug 462118 (fixed in bug 466407) - does it correct itself if you wait a few seconds and open the menu again?

On second reading it could also possibly be bug 420446

actually it doesn't i have waited over 30 min' and it still showed more than once the same site
This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
