There's still more cases to take care of (see the todo at the bottom), but you get the idea.  Submitting now so it's reviewed and ready to go when the tests are done, and to avoid a review jam.

I think it's great.

For the record, I think our audit functions could use a lot of improvement (e.g. be more free form and simpler to use) and we could track a lot more things.  Another bug I suppose.
