User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 When I grab a tab and drag it out of the window on a Mac, it creates a new window with that tab in it (removing it from the old window). When I drag a tab out of the window in windows, it creates a shortcut on the desktop. I haven't tried my linux box to see what happens. Reproducible: Always
David, were you using the same version of Firefox both platforms? I am not able to reproduce the problem using 3.0.6. If I switch to 3.1b3pre, however, I am able to detach tabs (feature) on both platforms. Maybe you were running 3.1x on the Mac when you saw this problem?
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20091006 Shiretoko/3.5.4pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Should have been fixed by one of the fixes during the Firefox 3.5 developement a while ago. If you still can see this problem with a recent build feel free to reopen.
