What version of Firefox and Java are you using? Have you created a new profile? http://quality.mozilla.org/bug-writing-guidelines

Firefox 3.0.6, have tried 2.0 and 3.1 too. Java SE 6 U11 How do I create a new profile? Can't find Profilemanager.

http://support.mozilla.com/kb/profile shows how to create a new profile. Is bug 476706 the same?

It's not the as bug 476706. My problem is solved. I tested with a new profile, and it worked. Then I renamed prefs.js in the default profile and everything was OK when I restarted firefox :)
