The following message appears:
"The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." everytime I start Firefox. It cannot load the update. I have rebooted and it still does it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I start Firefox. It begins to run the update.
2.The error message stated above appears.
3.Click OK and the un-updated version of Firefox runs.

Please attach the last-update.log which is typically located in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates

Please update if you are able to still reproduce the issue. If yes, please attach the last-update.log along with the updates.xml file. If you've installed under program files these will typically be located under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\ and the last-update.log
is inside the updates directory.

This error is reproducible on SeaMonkey 2.6 [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:9.0) Gecko/20111217 Firefox/9.0 SeaMonkey/2.6]. On Windows Vista Business with service pack 2.

This error occurs when I am notified of security update that downloads and installs like an addon rather than a full version update. This appears to be a Windows Installer issue related to the Mozilla trunk. Please bring the trunk back to the suite then make the components separately installable.

The error message occurs every time I start SeaMonkey. The only solution I have found is to go back and download and install the upgrade from mozilla.org.

"The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of SeaMonkey running on your computer, and then restart SeaMonkey to try again."

I get same error EVERY time Nightly attempts to update, this is very frustrating
