Build Identifier: Both Windows and Linux versions 2.0.0.19
I sent a meeting request to a colleague (from a linux machine to a windows XP machine) who accepted the meeting.
I send an update to the meeting. The colleague accepts the change but the meeting in his calendar is not updated. I send a cancellation to the meeting and there is no effect on the calendar.
I tried sending the same meeting from a windows machine and had the same effect.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Set up a meeting, invite an attendee and send email.
2.Send a meeting cancellation.
3.Recipient accepts meeting and cancellation.
Actual Results:
Meeting remains in calendar
Expected Results:
Meeting deleted from calendar

Cancelled events shouldn't automatically be deleted from the calendar. You might still later on choose to re-accept the event. Check out bug 273279 though, this makes the cancelled events look different. You can then delete them at will.

Hello,
Maybe we could go for a preference by calendar?
Delete event after cancellation with False true, False beeing the default to keep Lightning way of working as usual?
Thanks

I have the same issue however, users are sending me a cancellation notice and Lightning is not taking the cancelation and still reminds me of the meeting.
Thanks.

I think this may be a user not knowing how to cancel a meeting. I just tried it on myself using the outlook web interface with exchange.
Never mind about the chatter above.
I'll keep everyone posted if this changes, or I find out Outlook does things a bit differently.
Thanks again.

Kerry, James, is this still an issue using the recently released Lightning 1.0?
