Over the last 6 months:
I have 2 gmail and 1 yahoo account setup 2 via imap and yahoo via pop.

When I open thunderbird it will sometimes pull in 1 or 2 of them the messages.
It is set to retrieve all accounts when getting mail.

yahoo does not get downloaded or only 1 gmail maybe 2 at a time but never the same.

I then have to get all mail to let it pull in mail messages.

There is sometimes upto 1 hour difference from new messages on server being pulled into thunderbird even though it checks every 10 mins and I have loged into web page gmail or web page yahoo mail and seen and read the message then close web page and open thunderbird and nothing of the new shows.

Then get all mail and still nothing.

Any idee if this will get fixed before thunderbird 3.0 ?

Rubish poutlook express and outlook pull everything in everytime why not thunderbird and why @get all mail@ have to be pressed even though all accounts has been set to get new mesages on start. 

THis happens in the last 30 times I installed windows xp home vista as well as in several versions of linux distro's.

Surely it does not have @ we have gmail accounts now lets get stupid and forget the other accounts@ option or default ?

Also note that setting up yahoo mail after having added gmail as defaults the send server for yahoo smtp is not asked or added on several ocassions so it end up sending via gmail / google mail servers wtf ?

Several times typing a letter on 3 5 50 seconds irregular interals it glitches especially in windows if the letter is fairly long, surely it only saves every 1 2 or 3 mins of typing instead of almost hanging and then throwing out the last 5 seconds of type sentence into the blank space ??

This happens in several versions of windows as well as on 5 different pc's with too much ram and ssd hd's so no reason for this and all junk programs default load of windows and antivirus or streamlinedclean as little as possible load during windows startup resource hogs.

The only similar thing here is thunderbird on 5 pc's and both win and lin distro's , all other hardware / software runs perfect and with too much free resources.

Reporter could you install a nightly from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk/ and try to log both pop3 and Imap ?

What are the sizes of your mailbox ?
