Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; fr; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: ChatZilla 0.9.84 Every once in a while - I'd say about one in ten times I type something in ChatZilla, /say gets inserted before it. Pressing up after typing something shows that "/say" was added, eg. typing "/me does something" then enter is shown as "/say /me does something". It's not a problem when typing text, but when I try to use /me or /kick commands, it types them as text instead of doing them. More annoying is when I identify to NickServ, as it made my pass public to a whole chan and I had to change it. Not able to reproduce the bug, tried pressing every single key on my keyboard as I was typing text and it didn't reproduce it. Thought it had to do with me, but I now know of two other people who have the exact same issue with CZ. The bug started happening around 2 or 3 months ago I'd say, but that's extremely vague. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Not using any themes, complementary ChatZilla plugins, or anything else. I have the latest version of Firefox 3 installed. Firefox plugins I have in common with other people who have experienced the same issue: - ChatZilla (obviously) - United states english dictionary - Adblock plus
Summary: /say sometimes finds it way before text → /say sometimes finds its way before text
Umm, are you sure you're not hitting Ctrl+Enter? That'd send something as a message regardless of whether it starts with a command character (ie / ). And that's a feature, not a bug. :-)
Well, that sounds stupid enough, but it might very well be the problem :] I'll try to be extra careful to press only enter when sending messages, if the problem persists then I'll re-open it. Until then, let's say it's resolved. Thanks ;)
