User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 if seamonkey uses your system colors and you move your mouse cursor over the tab on the tab bar before it has loaded any contents from the link, the tab preview shows a blank page but its background color is always white, instead of the system background color of your preference. It doesn't happen with a new blank tab opened with Ctrl+T, though. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set your system background color to any other than white in Windows XP. Mine is blue. 2.Check the following grids or circles in your seamonkey preferences: Appearance -> Colors -> Use system colors Navigator->Tabbed Browsing->Open tabs instead of windows for Middle-Click, Ctrl+click or Ctrl+Eter on links in a Web page Navigator->Tabbed Browsing->Open links meant to open a new window in 'A new tab in the current window' Uncheck the following one: Navigator->Tabbed Browsing->Switch to new tabs opened from links 3.Go to a web page with some links on a slow server. Open a new tab by Ctrl-clicking a link or drag & dropping it on the tab bar. 4.Quickly move your mouse cursor over the newly created tab on the tab bar(but don't click and move to it) before it has loaded any contents from the link, or while the new tab is still blank. Actual Results: the tooltip shows the tab preview as a blank page, but its background color is always white. Expected Results: The background color of the blank page of the tab preview must be my system background color, blue for me. I use the classic theme. I haven't noticed any area where my system background color is not applied correctly except the one I'm reporting.

This patch first checks the |browser.display.use_system_colors| preference setting and if true sets the background colour of the preview to the OS Window colour.

Comment on attachment 366109 [details] [diff] [review] Patch v1.0 Respect browser.display.use_system_colors It turns out that it's much easier to demonstrate this bug by loading about:blank into a background tab.
