First of all I'm not sure if this is a bug, so if not I apologize. I have a CalDAV setup with this calender, and it's tied to a Google account. I noticed today that every time I make a new event on my lightning calender it will automatically set a reminder for “2 days before the event starts.” It will do this even if no reminder is set. If you go under the “Set up Reminders” menu you will find that the 2 days reminder is one of the options. Remove it, save the event, it will close, and you notice the reminder is there again.
After a bit of digging I found out if you make a event on the Google Calendar it will always add a two days event reminder by default. There is not option to removed the default two day reminder from the Google options. This means that it's forcing lighting to add the two day reminder to all events. I think this means lighting is not able to input all the event settings to Google Calendars correctly. When lightning sends a new event with out any reminders to Google Calendar it should not have any reminders on the Google Calendar once information is downloaded.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Set up a CalDAV calendar with Google Calendar and Thunderbird/Lightning.
2.Add a new event to the Thunderbird/Lightning Calendar with out any reminders set.
3.Once closed you should see it has a reminder.
4.Open reminder and you should see it has a custom reminder called “2 days before the event starts.”
Actual Results:
New event has a custom reminder called “2 days before the event starts.”
Expected Results:
No event reminders should be present on either the Lightning or Google Calendar.

If you disable the default reminder options in both the lightning preferences and in the Google Calendar UI, there should not be any more default alarms. Please reopen if this is not the case.
