can't modify task from today's pane in main window

I try to click on the box by a task to make complete and won't. Gives me this error: 
An error occurred when writing to the calendar Tips ProShop (Shop & Tournaments)!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on complete task box

Actual Results:  
Gives me this error: 
An error occurred when writing to the calendar Tips ProShop (Shop & Tournaments)!

Expected Results:  
box is ticked as completed task

What Lightning version do you use? What type of calendar do you use, i.e. local, ics file, caldav server, ...? Do you have write access to the calendar, i.e. can you create new tasks or events in it? Please copy and paste the complete error message from Tools > Error Console.

I can't find the error in the Error Console, i get the same error popup: 
An error occurred when writing to the calendar Tips ProShop (Shop & Tournaments)!
Error number: MODIFICATION_FAILED

Kara, is the calendar the task belongs to read-only? What kind of calendar is it?
It is now working. Not sure what was making it not work before. Thank you for your time anyways.
