This bug can be fixed in the next version of Firefox if the About window is made longer vertically.
Reproducible: Always

2.Go to Help -> About Mozilla Firefox
3.In the new window, the bottom text is cut off. (This bug also occurred in FF v3.0.5).

The About window is cutting off the last couple lines of text.

From the launchpad bug:

Looks like the "Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0" addition is making things not fit.

Yeah. That's the version Ubuntu has been modified. Can you download and run a build which directly comes from Mozilla? You can find it here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
I believe everything will be fine in this build. Thanks.

Henrik: The question is if they just added a vendor string via user-pref. They are AFAIK not allowed to modify Firefox files (except settings) and that would mean that they can not fix it without modifying the actual code.

Ubuntu installs an extension called "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications". It will modify some parts of the ui, like adding additional menu elements or texts. They don't modify the source itself as far as I can see. Means it shouldn't be a problem with the trademark policy. All this will make this bug INVALID.

Is there a way to forward this bug to Canonical so it will be fixed on Ubuntu machines? Since it looks like the "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications" extension is causing the problem?

Someone should report it in Ubuntu's bug database: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/

I've tried multiple times to report this bug to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ But for some reason when I select the bug in the menu, it will revert back to the bugzilla.mozilla.org (Mozilla) website. Is there another way to report this bug to Canonical?

Jeremy: Please don't post duplicate comments like that. Everyone here gets an email notification for each one; no need to spam us.
If you'll read comment 0 above, this was already filed in their system:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/330337
Update that with the new information. Or if there's some way to file a bug specifically for "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications", do that too.
