In at least one user's preference box, the checkbox under Settings at the bottom is cut off.

Odd, it doesn't look that way for me. I seem to be running a newer version of OS X (based on the way the aqua widgets look like in the screenshot).
I also have actual Apple hardware, though I doubt the problem is that it's a hackintosh.

I have a different problem, with the right edge of the options window being cut
off. On Fedora Linux 11. I'll attach an image.

Probably related to the change passphrase button?

The second problem is probably because of the change passphrase button and occurs when the username is longer than some number of characters. thunder and I were discussing moving the change buttons one row down to solve it.
The problem described by Toby, however, is not related to that. I can seem to reproduce it though: Goto weave preferences while signed in and then click sign out: the bottom part of the 'account' pane is cut off.

We've rewritten this UI at least twice now, so resolving WFM. Please file a new bug if there is still a problem.
