I'm using a uw-imap Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Under Account Settings, Server Settings, Advanced, enter a public namespace. Verify that the namespace is visible in the folder list and subscribe dialog. 2. Go back to Account Settings, Server Settings, Advanced and enter an IMAP server directory. Actual Results: The namespace is no longer visible in the folder list and subscribe dialog. Expected Results: The namespace should be visible even when using an IMAP server directory. Server version is uw-imap-2007e

(for "no display in folder pane") AFAIK, this is intentional design/implementation by many user's requests. Some IMAP servers forces IMAP folder under INBOX. e.g. INBOX.Sent, INBOX.Trash. Many users want folder pane display of standard "Sent" or "Trash" instead of "Sent under INBOX" or "Trash under INBOX". (for "no display in subscribe dialog") I believe it's for consistent display with folder pane, in order to avoid user's confusion, misoperation.
The consistency makes sense. How is this handled in Thunderbird 2? It would seem that in Thunderbird 2, setting an "IMAP server directory" only applies for the personal namespace and public ones are still visible. Is there a reason to change this or am I not clear on how Thunderbird 2 works? Granted, my only experience with this is with UW-IMAP, so I'm not familiar with how Thunderbird 2 works with Cyrus/Courier personal namespace format (INBOX.foldername).
bienvenu, thoughts?

This appears to be working correctly in the latest version of 3.0b3pre. Marking as worksforme.
