opened firefox.
it opened as...'thank you for installing 3.06...etc etc(i have had firefox installed for many months)
my 'home' pages were gone. (all 4 of them)
i reinstalled the home pages addresses.
Firefox would not remember them.
I uninstalled firefox. 
i reinstalled firefox from download.com
It displays a "page load error"...Firefox can't find the file at /C:/Documents and Settings/HP_Administrator/Desktop/Uninstalling_Firefox.htm.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.uninstall
2.reinstall
3.
Actual Results:  
simple as.....uninstall.....then reinstall.

Expected Results:  
page loaad error...Firefox can't find the file at /C:/Documents and Settings/HP_Administrator/Desktop/Uninstalling_Firefox.htm.

itshould have worked as it has been doing for the last several months !!

Assuming you haven't blown them away by now, does the profile(s) still exist? 
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#On_Windows_2000_and_XP
Reporter, please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in a fresh profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also update your plugins (flash, adobe reader, java, quicktime, silverlight, etc.) Go to the developer's website and download the latest version from there. If you no longer see this issue, please close this bug as RESOLVED, WORKSFORME. If you do see the bug, please post a comment.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
