Before with CA antivirus and AVG antivirus programs was able to open mulitple copies of Firefox 3......
Reproducible: Always
Actual Results:
Only one copy of Firefox is open....
Expected Results:
Additional copy of Firefox should open... so I can have different copies on multiple monitor(s) i.e. dual monitor setup

Normally, you're not able to open multiple copies of Firefox at all - there's a protection against that (you get a warning dialog in that case). Do you care to explain how you did open multiple copies of Firefox before ? Or do you mean multiple windows in the same application (File->New Window or ctrl-N) ?

after many different types of problems... I removed the anti-virus and then remove Firefox 3.0.6 .... Rebooted the system...
1. Installed Firefox 3.0.6 and verified operation... was able to open mulitple windows of Firefox from my short cut on desktop.. since I have dual monitor setup,, I use a different window on each monitor... example... Ebay on one monitor and a stock monitoring window on the second monitor...
2. RE-installed ESET NOD32 anti-virus and am running with two windows of Firefox while I write this... Bugzilla on left monitor and Ebay on right monitor
3. I open separate windows of Firefox with the short-cut on the desktop or via the Start/Programs/Firefox.....
4. Will be monitoring the situation and see when it goes bad again....

Not Firefox has to be compatible with Antivirus applications, it's the opposite. Any Anti-Virus software must be compatible with the installed applications.
In most cases such AV software installs additional addons in Firefox which may break newer versions of Firtefox but you can always disable this addons udner tools/addons or use the Firtefox safemode.
