Go to the bugzilla reporting page.
Type garbage lines in the Description field until the scrollbar shows up.
Delete the last line that caused the scrollbar to show up.
Go the end of the current last line (the line before the line that causes the
scrollbar to show up).
Type in a space.
Press the backspace key.
Crash.
Reporter, what build are you using. I can't reproduce this in Linux M18 builds.
Also I *always* have a scrollbar in the textarea.

I don't think this is a lsitbox problem, from the description it sounds like a
textarea issue. Also, I cannot reproduce following the instructions.
i also cannot confirm this following the instructions using M18 2000080608 on winNT.
i _can_ however confirm this using 2000080804 on winNT4 sp5.
fun.

the 2000080608 build is from mozillazine and does not show this bug.
the 2000080804 build is a nightly from mozilla.org and does.

using the build from today (m18 -- 8/9 build), I am unable to reproduce this
crash. I will try this on NT, Mac and Linux to see if I can repro on those
platforms

I had a similar experience with 2000080910 on Linux, PC:
Writing in the additional comments field in the show bug page
I hit in fast succession cursor (but not ALT-q) with my right hand possibly
including backspace or delete or other keys close the cursor block. The browser
unexpectedly and very quickly died. The was no core and no crash guard response.
The last messages on the terminal were about possible DOM errors. Unfortunately
I cannot reproduce at all but it did happen.

Now I notice that the scroll bar in the additional comment field appears
immediately, after I type the first character (same build). It should appear
only when I begin a newline after bottom line in the field.

Hope this is somewhat helpful
Agreed.
