editing a value in the preference editor does not affect existing windows

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start a new message
2. set wrapping to off
3. write text

4. start a new message and write text
Actual Results:  
3. results in wrapped text, 4. in not wrapped text

Expected Results:  
both result in no text wapping

so from http://mozillazine.org/misc/about:config/ point 6 some prefs will need a restart to take efefcet.

Does it work if you open the new mail window after changing the pref ?
